Thai Food

After my debacle with Pad Thai last week my dad sent me a recipe for Pad Thai that he made.
(at one of my new favorite sites, too!) It's on a foodblog called Use Real Butter.
I haven't made it yet, but I bought all the ingredients. I'm really excited, I hope it turns out better.

At the end of the email my dad sent with the link, he included this post-script:

Oh, I forgot to tell you, I did not include the pickled turnips. That sounds very appetizing, if you're a freak! I was watching a cooking/travel show featuring authentic cuisine in Thailand, and they were eating a salad of live ants. I feel that, sometimes, it is okay to sacrifice authenticity to avoid filling the serving bowl with my own vomit.
