politics

Travis and aren't ever really up to date on politics.
And this isn't a political blog, so you don't have worry that I'm going to bore you or stress you out now with my opinions on the Health Care Reform.
But that's mostly because I don't have such opinions. I don't really know what's going on.
I've been googling Health Care like mad, calling my mama, and quizing her on what she knows (my parents have always been good about knowing what's going on) and searching shows like The Daily Show, to see if parodies have been made yet.
You know jokes and stupid impressions always help me get a clear view of what's REALLY going on in the world.

Travis and I talked about it a little.
I told him what my mom told me.
I recounted a bit of a Glen Beck recording where he said that this was how the Nazi's began, and the Health Care reform is reminisent of Eugenics.
I showed him an unrelated clip of John Stewart pretending he was a corporation not a person.

And Travis said "Its a good time to be a documentary film maker."
We're going tonight to hopefully talk to some people in small insurance companies, maybe a pharmacy or two.
Interview them, etc.
Not Michael Moore style, but you know.

That would be great if you can get people to open up about it. Your mother is right on this and so many other issues.

I've never wanted you to just agree with me for the sake of agreeing with me. I think the best friend I've had as an adult had completely different views on politics and such, but he knew why he had those views. He could articulate them both logically and emotionally and held them because he cared about other people. I loved and respected him for that.
Being informed is hard. In America you have the legal right to what ever opinion you want. However, God gave you free agency and expects you to search for truth, and truth isn't relative. Your generation will be taking the reigns soon, and I'm afraid you're not being taught how to seek the truth or what is important or why America is different, or what Liberty means. For instance, the Health care debate is not about health care and I fear for our future because hardly anyone even understands that.
