Where I am

Is exactly where I want to be.

And the interesting thing is, I'm exactly where I always expected myself to be.

I've been thinking about it a lot lately, and saying it to my friends.

But when I was 16, and thinking that life couldn't possibley be worse (I didn't think that all the time, just sometimes and you all know how sucky high school can be!) I would look forward to that future and perfect time in my life when I would be pretty, married, almost done getting my English degree, and yes --only 20.

Even after I was at college and I had to go home for a semester, and when I was 19 and had yet to date anyone seriously, I still imagined that I would be married and happy by 20.
AND TAH-dah! Six months before I turned twenty-one, I got maaaarried, and now I live the perfect, happy, ideal life.

And I'm not kidding.
Sometimes I am cross that we don't have more money, or that our landlord said "No Dog!" so we have to move, or that Travis leaves to go on business trips, or that I can't wear short-shorts in the summer anymore, but really.
Who cares about those things when everything else is so niiice?

I feel like I know my calling in life (writing books, eh!) I know the love of my life (Travis, darling!) and thanks to the gospel, I know the meaning of life (I wrote a pun, but I just erased it, I have decided that it was probably inappropriate).

I don't mean to brag.
I just want you to know how happy I am.
How perfect my life is.
How handsome a spouse I have.

So, maybe I am bragging.
But surely life can't always be perfect. I am appreciating it while I've got it.

I hope you're all happy too.

Maybe it's a newly-wed thing...

I can honestly say I feel the exact same way. :) LJ and I just had a conversation about it today.

Life is absolutely wonderful.
